Jehan Alain Centennial Celebration in Charlotte

The Charlotte Chapter hosted a Jehan Alain Centennial Celebration at Myers Park Baptist Church  on Tuesday, February 15. The program included Intermezzo  performed by Aaron Goen, Messe Modale performed by The Queens University Chamber Singers, Variations sur un thème de Clément Jannequin performed by Larry Stratemeyer, Andante con variazioni and Scherzo for string quintet, a piano piece performed by Michael Lehtinen, Postlude pour l'Office de Complies performed by M. L. Marley, a work for piano and flute, and Litanies, performed by Jonathan Crutchfield.

Organ Recital in Spartanburg, South Carolina!


Dr. Andre Lash, organist at Christ United Methodist ChurchGreensboro, NC, will present a solo organ recital at Central United Methodist Church, 233 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC on Friday evening, March 25, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is free.
 
This recital commemorates the 30th anniversary of the installation of the Austin III/31 organ, and is co-sponsored by the Spartanburg chapter of the AGO and the church.

University of Florida Sacred Music Workshop


The organ/sacred music department at the University of Florida invites you to the upcoming Inspiring Worship workshop from May 1-3, 2011.  Now in its fourth year, the University of Florida's School of Music is proud to host this continuing education event geared specifically towards organists, choral directors, and church musicians.
